Growing up Tyrell was always the child that couldn’t stay still and liked to explore by climbing things and trying out different sports at school. No matter what sport he competed in, he always had greatest interest when it came to martial arts and this led him to try Karate and later finding kickboxing and Muay Thai.
Tyrell’s love for the martial arts inspired him to complete a Bachelor in Health Science (Sports & Exercise) followed by a Master of Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney.
With a mindset of always being a student and being open to learning new things, Tyrell pushed further into learning various striking disciplines and has now become a student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to further his knowledge.
Tyrell believes in order to grow and improve you must continuously face new challenges in order to become the best athlete you can be.
